What do you use this for? Do you do hardware reviews or something?
I noticed that you have no method incorporated to secure the add-in cards from movement and the motherboard is not mounted to the test stand; so I figure you must go through a lot of different components in a short period of time with this setup.

wow . . . just wow. i love setups like this, so easy to change things around and IMO, they look better than case based systems. One of the best looking systems i have ever seen! 10/10!
nice work dude
Voted...very nice of someone to give you a 1.
BTW I see that you have fans stacked....are the inside fans just used as a shroud or are all 4 functional?

by: ty_ger;946938The cards secure to the stand just like they do in a case. There is a long plastic bar with holes in it to screw through the card hole just like a case.

The MB just sets on the stand on top of rubber feet with 2 long nylon studs in the back that go through thetop and bottom MB holes.
All I do with it is OC and stress it. I put it on the stand so I can reset the Bios easy and swap parts as needed with out having to dig into a case.
by: sneekypeet;946952A 1 eh!! I seen that. Oh well I did it for me not them...They must have a POS rig and just voted like that to vote...

The 2 outside Delta's work and the 2 inside fans are just shrouds. I bought 5 brand new 120mm x 38mm panaflo fans and never even plugged them in and I cut the guts out of them for shrouds.. lolz..
by: Bytor;946963Right. My bad. I guess I didn't look at all the pics closely in that aspect. I thought the white bar was part of the trim of the wall in the background.

That 1 was not from me. Just want to clear that up because I am often thought of as a cynic.
by: Bytor;946970Have you tried without, I ask because I wonder if there was a big differnce, or is it worth attemptin with extras I have around?

LOL!
by: sneekypeet;946973If you have the old fans laying around I would go ahead and use them. Weather you would see a diff. or not I don't know. But what I do know is that the shrouds free up that dead space right below the fan so you would be using more surface area of your Rad. with the shouds installed.

Ty_ger,
I'm not worried about that score I just wanted to share my build with everyone here. Its not like I'll get a raise or anything with a high score... lolz...
But I love this tech station so far.. It is so easy to work on your rig... Someone had a good idea to find a CRT monitor anti-static bag to cover it when not in use.
Thanks for the kind words guys....
by: ty_ger;946979I was looking at those when I was shopping for my delta's... Man they are huge...

have you checked out Danger Den's Torture Rack?

here's a link to a build using it: [url]http://onefoursix.com/tr.html
I agree -- this style of case is a lot of fun -- very easy to modify your setup

Update!!!!
If you look at pic's 2-4 you see all my PSU cables bunched up behind the rig. I remember this small metal fan box that came with my Rocketfish case and thought I would be able to use it to hide my cables in.
I painted the box black then stuffed all my PSU cables in it and mounted it to the tech station. This can be seen in the last 3 pic's.
Looks much better I think...
